Frequently asked questions
Do you give free quotes before any work begins?
Yes, always. An arborist visits your property, looks at the job in person and leaves a written quote with a fixed price. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation to go ahead.
What payment options do you accept?
Bank transfer suits most clients and we also accept cash. For larger projects we can split the invoice into agreed stages, so you are never paying for work that has not been done yet.
Can you work while I am away from the property?
We do it all the time. As long as we can reach the trees safely and know where you want the wood or chip left, you can head off to work and come home to a finished job. We will send photos before and after if you like.
Are you insured?
Fully. We carry public liability insurance and the crew works to New Zealand arboriculture safety standards. You are welcome to see our certificates before the job starts.
Do I need council permission to remove a tree in Tauranga?
Sometimes. Protected trees, and some trees near boundaries or reserves, need consent from the council. We check this for you as part of the quote so nothing gets cut that should not be.
What happens to the branches and wood?
Whatever you prefer. Most branches go straight through the chipper, and the mulch can stay on your garden or leave with us. Logs can be ringed up for firewood or taken away completely.
How soon can you fit my job in?
Small trims are often done within the week. Bigger removals depend on the season, and we will give you an honest timeframe when we quote. Urgent hazards such as storm damaged limbs jump the queue.
Will my lawn and gardens be protected?
Yes. We plan our drop zones before a saw starts, lay mats where gear could mark soft ground and rake through the whole area before we leave.
